Multicultural Resources
The following items are resources that have been found useful in infusing multicultural awareness into the lives of children. When selecting an item to introduce cultural awareness to your child, take the time to preview the content or material, evaluate book authors to be sure that they are members of the communities they write about, and don’t be afraid to introduce an item just because you may not be familiar with it. Often times the most powerful example of accepting diversity is parents and children learning about something together.
